Arroyo, who has been projected as San Francisco’s third baseman of the future, will make his major league debut on Monday. He is penciled in for the start at the hot corner while batting sixth in the lineup. He has gotten off to a blistering start at Triple-A Sacramento, batting .446 over his first 16 games with 3 home runs and 12 RBIs.
The 22-year-old made quick work of the only Triple-A experience of his career, swiftly moving up the ranks. He was selected 25th overall by the Giants in the 2013 MLB Amateur Draft out of Brooksville, Fla., and was ranked as the No. 89 overall prospect in baseball prior to the start of the 2017 season by MLB.com.
